The 2007 HD Elantra
Looks like Hyundai has done their homework here. One complaint from the XD generation was the drab interior.
The '07 interior is outstanding. While the exterior design is a bit conservative it looks like it may just be a hit. ABS and
six airbags are standard. Power is essentially unchanged. Base models will start around $14,000. Click here for the full specification sheet.
Hyundai just keeps getting better and better. In the 2004 J.D.
Power and Associates Quality Survey, Hyundai outpaced almost every car manufacturer in the world! Download this important study

End of an Era
The 2006 Elantras are here and are the final model in the XD generation on the car. They're
pretty much a carryover model until the all new 2007 HD Elantras arrive in late 2006. There is something new though... the
Elantra Limited. This sedan features a chrome grille, standard ABS/TCS, beige leather, a woodgrain dash and much more. The
XD Elantra was truly a breakthrough car for Hyundai and it will be interesting to see if the HD's can build on the tradition.

The 2005 Elantras Have Arrived!
Although essentially a carryover from last year's major update, there are
some changes. Most notably the lack of 2004's terrific Kenwood CD/MP3 stereo deck and the addition of a new GLS version
of the hatchback. The GLS 5-door is lacking in some of the features of the GT but it gives an option to those seeking the
hatch style but at a reduced price (about $1,250 less). Of course you won't get standard alloy wheels, fog lights, rear spoiler,
leather interior and other amenities the GT model offers. What you will get, though, is rear disc brakes and sport tuned suapension
and steering that you can't get in a 4-door GLS. Overall, a nice idea from Hyundai.

The Facelifted 2004 Elantra
The restyled 2004 Elantras are a very nice update! The
cars feature a revised grill, lower air dam and clear tail light lenses. The brakes now feature an optional electronic
control which works in conjuction with the ABS/TCS for improved emergency braking. The air bags have been upgraded. There are
a ton of new creature comforts like a Kenwood stereo deck as well as a redesigned dashboard. The GT's have new,
improved perforated leather seating areas. Both models are currently available at most dealer showrooms. Suprisingly,
the much hyped VVT engine only offers modest power gains and is being touted mainly as an emission friendly
upgrade. Overall performance is essentially the same as last year's model. Click here for more details and plenty of photos on the GT Club's 2004 Elantra page.

Have you ever wanted to see how other countries promote their cars?
I recently received an interesting email from a club visitor named Jeff. The email included photos scanned
from the sales brochure of the 2004 Avante XD in Korea! Click here to "browse" through the brochure. Thanks Jeff!
